The photos were found in Dahmer's apartment when he was arrested in 1991. The Polaroids were evidence in Dahmer's trial, and they were used to convict him of 15 counts of murder. After the trial, the judge ordered the Polaroids to be destroyed out of respect for the victims and their families.
